1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of wereferyou.ca and any services made available through it (the “Service”).

The Service is operated by Alfano Technologies Inc., an Ontario corporation (Ontario Corp. No. 1001611474), with registered office at 294 Ottawa Street North, Hamilton, Ontario L8H 3Z9 (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (18 in Ontario) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use of the Service. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

4. Nature of this directory

We Refer You is a paid directory connecting members of the public with Ontario lawyers and paralegals offering bail hearing services. Listings are submitted and paid for by the listed practitioners. Inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement, recommendation, or referral by Alfano Technologies Inc.

5. No solicitor-client relationship

Use of the Service does not create a solicitor-client relationship between you and Alfano Technologies Inc. or between you and any listed practitioner. A solicitor-client relationship arises only when you and a practitioner enter into a separate retainer agreement.

Information provided on the Service is general in nature and does not constitute legal advice. Consult a licensed lawyer or paralegal for advice specific to your matter.

Nothing on this Service constitutes legal advice. Use of the Service does not create a solicitor-client relationship. For legal matters, consult a licensed lawyer or paralegal.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Service (text, graphics, logos, images, and software), other than User Content you contribute, is the property of Alfano Technologies Inc. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alfano Technologies Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alfano Technologies Inc. from any claim, demand, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
